The Dirtbombs

From the mighty Powerpop blog, I learn of the Dirtbombs' awesome No Expectations.

It's a game-changing version of the Rolling Stones' No Expectations. It includes a nod to Lust For Life. And Sympathy for the Devil. And for fuck's sake, Hey Jude.

This is an incredible track that makes me want to own the Dirtbombs catalog. Fuck me, how great can one track be? It's not a mash-up, it's a band actually playing the tracks live as a pastiche. Awesome.

Hi Sis

Yup it sounds good, I might even try to listen to some of the other tracks. Just checked with Amazon.co.uk and it is the ridiculously expensive price of £16.99, but it is a double album with 52 tracks!!

Hi Sis

Now lashed out on Dirtbombs, Dangerous Magic Noise, If you dont..., Ultraglide in Black and We have you surrounded. Got to a say it's definitely a mix of styles and sounds, not all of it as good as No Expectations, they are obviously very talented and I am sure they will grow on me on further listening, but thanks for the recommendation.
