If not, download this

http://tinyurl.com/n9q44p

That's the Pomona show, courtesy of Stripeydave. No need to torrent or anything difficult. Just download the files, burn to CD and listen. That's what I'm talking about.Lyle Hopwoodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17498505748509787968noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34952281.post-21864943907957042782009-09-03T20:27:18.101-07:002009-09-03T20:27:18.101-07:00Urgh! Forgot what that was now...skimming quickly through your last few posts again 'cause that's what brought whatever it was to mind in the first place...not finding it.

OK, but here are a few more kind words...

What I like about reading your stuff here is that I always (always!) learn something from it. In this case, you transported me vicariously through those mean streets and straight up to the harsh wire fence and the reeling fan in front of you. There must be a commercial market for this review someplace, Lyle...it's an especially good one.Carrollhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12716839866042506364noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34952281.post-49028293157017521022009-09-02T20:50:26.332-07:002009-09-02T20:50:26.332-07:00Oh, yes, the inflatable whooshing men are lovely. ...Oh, yes, the inflatable whooshing men are lovely. I think STB said the ones at car dealerships are $1000, so one of the big ones is probably less than half as much again. Maybe we should get one for the yard?

Thanks for the kind words about the blog. Haven't seen your question yet.Lyle Hopwoodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17498505748509787968noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34952281.post-73224697104495040002009-09-02T19:52:56.751-07:002009-09-02T19:52:56.751-07:00Hey there! (Not only that, but I read the whole thing :-)

Those light pole thingys sound very cool indeed, and I'm a real sucker for the inflatable whooshing man figures of which one is visible at the end of the street in one of your pix. Sounds like quite a weekend getaway. From your usual idyllic ocean breezes to putrid urban jungle..not quite everyone's cuppa, but no one has ever accused you of being ordinary, right?

So, every time I stop in here I'm reminded of why I prefer reading "real" writers (blogs) instead of the Twitterati.

Quality counts for something, oh yes indeed it does.

Off-blog grammar question coming to you under separate cover.
ByeCarrollhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12716839866042506364noreply@blogger.com
